This week in Preschool

Sorry I have missed a couple of weeks. This week we have been reading Spring time stories and trying to review letters. I added a couple of sight words for the four yr olds, was, is and did. Some of the kids are really doing good remembering the words! For easter crafts the 4 yr olds made a chick and the 3 yr olds made a lamb. They had fun making "magic rolls", and eating them. They each decorated an easter basket and then we had an easter egg hunt. I sent home notes with the kids about our Zoo Fieldtrip and graduation. Have a great Spring Break and Easter holiday. See you on April 20th/21st.

This week in Preschool

On Monday and Tuesday we talked about X-rays. The kids looked at a picture of an xray. We talked about how you have to go to the Dr. to get one, if the Dr. thinks you have a broken bone or fluid in your lungs or something like that. We figured out the many ways to make X's with our legs, arms fingers etc. On Wed and Thurs we painted and did some cutting and pasting. We learned that we couldn't think of very many things that begin with X, and how strange it is that Xylophone begins with x!:) But there are quite a few that end in x. On thursday we played the shape game, and duck duck goose and sang B-I-N-G-O, and made an xray on black paper. On Friday the kids made xrays and played The Hokey Pokey and duck duck goose. For Show and Tell we had many things that did not begin with x:) and a xylophone and some actual xrays, and an aXe. Our sight words for this week were for and are. Have a warm weekend! March is NEXT WEEK!
